A product or color listed on backorder means the item is still available to order, but may take 2-3 weeks to ship. Paloma Pottery strives for prompt service and most products are replenished within 1-2 weeks. Every effort is made to fill orders in 24-48 hours, however, when ordering in larger quantities please expect some delays. Still have questions regarding stock availability? 4. Will the product I purchase look the same as the online photos?

Each piece is handmade and can vary slightly in size, color and design. Paloma Pottery strives to create each hand crafted piece with consistancy to match product images and customers' expectations. Products are created in a production line in order to manufacture each hand-made item with as much consistency and value as possible. Additional product images can be found on each product page in order to show the unique colors and variations that occur. For example, the "swirl" in many of Paloma Pottery's pieces are created naturally while throwing on the potter's wheel and can often be more prominent in some pieces than others.

5. What does the back side of the piece look like?

Most products are finished with 1/4" cork bumpers to protect furniture from scratches. This excludes wall hanging products, dinnerware and jewelry. Additional product images are often provided with examples of the back of a piece. Though nothing compares with being able to touch and inspect a piece in person, Paloma Pottery makes every effort to provide you with an easy online shopping experience with various photos and information on each product.

6. How can I purchase something similar to what I saw in person?

Paloma Pottery maintains a stock of all products listed for immediate purchase in the online catalog. The sizes and designs listed are the actual products available immediately in stock. Products may also be in stock in a variety of sizes that are not listed in the catalog. Please don't hesitate to add any special instructions to your order. If you are unsure, feel free to call Nicole Whitney directly to discuss any requests or questions you might have. 7. Do you take custom orders?

"I truly enjoy making custom pieces and working with customers individually." Important things to know when considering ordering a custom piece: This process varies in time, depending on size and complexity of the piece. It usually takes about three to six weeks from start to finish. A minimum down-payment of 30% is required. There is a flat fee for custom orders of $75 which is added to the total price. Important NOTE: Fees do not apply when ordering an item that is already listed in the Paloma Pottery catalog and online store. With over 40 products to choose from, Paloma Pottery catalog and online store often lists the most popular sizes available for immediate purchase. Most products are also available in a variety of different sizes. Most notable items that are always available in a various sizes include Cabinet Door Pulls, Wall Hooks, Necklace Pendants and other jewelry. In other words, if you're interested in some Cabinet Door Pulls but are looking for a smaller knob. Paloma Pottery does not considered this a custom order and you may place your order online with any special instructions attached. You will receive your custom knobs at the same price as listed on the product page. When placing an order to ship directly as a gift to another person, please make note in the "comments" box. Gift orders are processed with extra care and will ship with a "gift receipt" inside showing no prices. Please feel free to include any notes or further details in the comments box. Gift wrapping is available upon request for a small fee. If a note is to be included, it will be written on Paloma Pottery note paper placed inside a note card for a seamless and complete gift.

8. What is glass infused pottery?

Combining recycled glass and pottery, creating a unique crackle glass surface and a sturdy ceramic base. The crackle glass surface is semi-porous and heat resistant making these unique glass ceramic products perfect for soap dishes, candleholders, coasters, hot plates, spoon rest, planter plates, etc. The unique glass and pottery combination creates an eye catching sparkle that intrigues and enchants the eyes.

9. Is glass infused pottery durable?

Yes, despite it's delicate look, each piece is quite durable with a sturdy ceramic base. The crackle glass surface is heat resistant and cleans easily with wet cloth. Not dishwasher safe.

10. Can I eat off of the recycled glass surface?

No, the recycled glass crackle surface is semi-porous and can not be used safely for consumable foods or liquids. Recycled Glass Rim Dinnerware is created with a food safe surface, however, is not oven/microwave/dishwasher safe.

11. Can the stepping stones be stepped on and can they stay out in the winter?

Yes, they are strong enough to be stepped on, though customers do favor using them as decoration only. The crackle glass surface is semi-porous and so the stepping stones do need to come indoors for the winter. Stepping Stones can also be set into concrete for added strenght.

12. How does the adjustable necklace work?

The simple design is what appeals to many. The waxed cotton cord is perfect for anyone with skin allergies. To adjust: Pull knots away from each other to lengthen ~ Pull cord below knots to shorten. These knots may come undone and are easily replaced by simply tying another knot.

13. Where do you get your glass?

Glass is collected from roadsides, trails, recycle bins or any other place that people leave discarded bottles. Recycling jam jars, wine bottles, stained glass scraps, etc. "I have a strong inclination to reuse everything from packaging to found objects used for shapes and texture." NEW Paloma Pottery is now collecting glass from local business, Louis Auto Glass. This glass is being diverted from the waste stream. It normally goes into the garbage as it can not be recycled and is now getting recycled into recycled glass fused Paloma Pottery products.

14. How did you begin to make glass infused pottery?

"My collection of broken glass items, stained glass scraps, and much more is what sparked my interest in mixing the two mediums together. I began experimenting and my technique has formed itself through much experimentation, and trial and error."

Products are all hand-made by Nicole Whitney in a production style, assembly line process which allows Paloma Pottery to pass on the savings to the customer. Recycled glass ceramic products are created with the intention of selling a hand crafted, fine art product at an affordable price.
